Boss: “Are you sure?” Ask, “How sure are you?” instead of, “Are you sure?” There is not always a clear right or wrong choice.
Answering “Yes” means without a doubt it was 100% the right choice. When we make decisions we collect information to help us move forward. “Are you sure?” does not give people the opportunity to share what they know, what they have learned and other possibilities.
