Leaders, your mission should you choose to accept it is to get a leadership buddy who can give you feedback on how you are doing.
Now this is going to take a lot of guts because sometimes your leadership buddy is going to tell you you’re not doing so well. You want someone who is willing to tell you when you’re not living up to the principles, or you’re back-sliding, and you’re pushing people down the ladder.
Getting feedback on how you are doing is one of the most important things you do to become a better leader.
My leadership nudge to you this week is this:
Make it safe for someone to give you feedback. Give them permission and ask them to tell you how you are doing on leadership. Find yourself a Leadership Buddy! Let me know how it goes.
