Leadership Nudge® 119 – Leaders Listen

One of the most important things a leader must do is listen. This week, Wendy Qian from Kardex Remstar shares some incredible insight about listening.

To listen, first you need to use your ear. It’s a voice, it’s inevitable, you must listen first.”

If we only use our ears and eyes and not our heart, it’s like a train passing. We hear it, we see it, but we don’t grasp any meaning. It’s not an efficient way to listen. “In the very end,” Wendy shared, “you must use your heart to listen to really remember what you have heard and seen. Then, it is efficient listening.”

Our Leadership Nudge to you this week is this:

When listening, use not only your ears, but your eyes and heart as well.

Let us know what how it goes!
